Oh, Well

I promised to share the good, the bad and the ugly.  So here goes.

I am not sure which this is, but I spend half the day yesterday making what I thought would be a creative use of my kabocha squash – kabocha squash bolemas. A bolema is a savory pastry, sometimes made with pumpkin and feta cheese. So, I thought, well, if you can make it with pumpkin, why not kabocha?

They came out ok – looked really pretty.

But they needed…something.  Perhaps more feta, perhaps some sugar in the squash mixture.  Whatever it is, I haven’t figured it out and I am not sure I will take the time and effort to try to.  Anyway, I only have one small squash left.  So….maybe next year.

  1. You amaze me with your creativity in the kitchen…with all those beautiful veggies from the garden. Me? I’m hopeless. But when all else fails….I go goofy. Please check out my “the Green Whale.” for a laugh! 🙂
